Agents
Supported agents
Which coding agents Satura Space runs, how it finds them, which get the MCP server registered, and how the app knows what each one is doing.
Satura Space doesn't ship a model. It runs the coding agent CLIs you already have, next to the Unity editors, and gives them one MCP tool to drive Unity and the app.
The list
| Agent | Unity MCP registered | Status hooks |
|---|---|---|
| Claude Code | yes | yes |
| Codex | yes, in ~/.codex/config.toml | no |
| Cursor | yes | yes |
| Grok Build | no | yes |
| Kimi | no | yes |
| opencode | no | no |
The app uses whichever of these are on your PATH. Bring your own subscription for each: Satura Space doesn't resell tokens or ask for an API key.
Real shells
Every terminal is a real shell. An agent without MCP registration still runs there as it would in any terminal. You can also open a plain terminal from New session (+).
MCP registration
For Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, the app writes its Unity MCP server into the project's .mcp.json and the agent configs, with no API key. The server registers one tool, satura_exec. See The MCP server.
Working, done or waiting
Claude Code, Cursor, Kimi and Grok Build get hooks in their config folders, so the app can tell when an agent is working, done or waiting for you.
Away from the desk, Satura Remote notifies you when an agent finishes or needs you.
Many agents at once
You can run several agent tabs at once. Tabs can be dragged into the middle of a panel to join it or to an edge to split it. To keep agents from waiting on one editor, give each its own scratchpad.
An agent can also start helper agents in new tabs with agents.spawn, as a tab in its group or as a split to its right or below it. The child reports back, and the app types the report into the parent's terminal. The app checks every call: an agent can message and close only the agents it started, can report only to the agent that started it, and can have at most 4 running at once.
What agents are told
The engine ships an agent guide that the MCP tool points to. Before anything else, it tells agents not to save unless you ask, to answer questions by showing you in the app, to ask before anything that can't be undone, and to test exactly what changed with as few Play runs as it takes. The guide is in the repository at packages/saturaspace-engine/Documentation~/agent-guide.md.
